A California native, Dr. Young relocated to Arizona in 2019 and brings with her a wealth of clinical experience in general dentistry. She is a proud graduate of the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry and went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency, equipping her to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Young is especially dedicated to compassionate care for individuals with special needs. Inspired by personal experiences with family members who faced challenges accessing appropriate dental care, she has committed much of her career to improving care for underserved and medically complex populations. Her post-baccalaureate research focused on access to oral healthcare for patients with special healthcare needs.
Recognizing a gap in provider training in this area, Dr. Young partnered with A.T. Still University to create a residency rotation at Children’s Rehabilitative Services (CRS) in Central Phoenix. This multidisciplinary program was designed to prepare future dentists to confidently treat medically complex patients. As the lead dentist at CRS, Dr. Young took pride in establishing a true dental home for her patients. Although the clinic has since closed, she remains committed to continuing this important work at TN Dentistry.
Dr. Young takes a patient-centered approach to care, emphasizing education, empowerment, and individualized treatment plans. She strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment where patients and their families feel understood and involved in their care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Young enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter. Together, they love exploring new destinations and are devoted baseball fans—so much so that their two dogs are named Koufax and Cy in honor of the game.
Dr. Young looks forward to building strong, lasting relationships with the patients and families of TN Dentistry while continuing to support their long-term oral health and well-being.
